We are a small-and-mighty communications and fundraising collective with team members across the U.S. Our team has more than two decades of experience partnering with remarkable causes worldwide to create digital campaigns that drive real action. As a purpose-driven collective, Humansize commits at least 10% of our time to pro bono projects focused on centering the equity of historically marginalized people and communities.

About the role: 

Humansize is looking for a Communications Associate to join our growing team! We’re in search of someone who has experience with all aspects of organizational communications – from strategy, to implementation, to performance analysis. Our dream candidate understands how to tell a compelling visual and written story, is passionate about social and environmental justice, and finds joy in their work. This role will support our digital communications efforts on behalf of cause-driven organizations around the world.

We’re looking for a generalist communicator with a passion for social equity work. Projects you’ll start with (the sky is the limit after that):

  • Research & writing with Humansize clients on fundraising & advocacy campaigns - for social, web, email

  • Data & audience analysis 

  • Content strategy and creation

  • Content management

  • Project management

What will help you be successful in this role:

  • A record of bold and thoughtful communications or advocacy experience (we’d love to see examples of your work in the wild!)

  • Experience planning, writing, designing, executing and monitoring content for social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc)

  • Some experience/interest in website maintenance

  • Experience managing a multi-step, time-sensitive review and approval process across teams

  • Strong organization and time management skills and an ability to work independently and collaboratively on tight deadlines

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Passion for collaborating with diverse teams

We hope you bring one or more of these skills: 

  • Experience working in a virtual environment and/or in a distributed team operating across multiple time zones

  • Experience in campaigns, advocacy, and/or elections

  • Experience managing relationships and leveraging professional networks with allied organizations to increase reach and efficacy of recruitment and program outreach efforts

Working at Humansize: 

  • We have a collaborative, supportive, flexible remote work environment. We invite team members to work from anywhere in the world, but most meetings are during U.S. business hours (ET or PT).  

  • This is a remote position and requires consistent phone and internet access and may require some U.S. travel.  

Salary: $60,000 per year
